We are pleased to announce Salonklets’s official nomination for the Henry van de Velde Awards 2016. In June we submitted this offline social network platform, designed for residential care centre Immaculata in Edegem, to compete for the contest’s ‘Life Quality’ Award. Salonklets seeks to support community building among residents, visitors and care workers of the residential care centre, in order to realise better care for the elderly at their end-of-life. The project explores a future of care for the elderly, in which the organisation’s role extends beyond just caring for its residents and reaches out towards residents’ family and visitors. For more background on the project, check out our previous news post.
