Virginia gave a lecture on “Democracy and Design” during the World Design Organization‘s Torino Design of the City conference on October 12th 2017. Through the lens of Hannah Arendt’s views on democracy, Virginia shed light on the role of design (more specifically, design for social innovation) in democracy-building. The topic is also central to a DESIS Philosophy Talks series Virginia is co-organising together with Ezio Manzini and other members of the DESIS Network.
