At the occasion of PostNL Pharma & Care’s 2016 GDP Masterclass, Nik gave a closing keynote on some – ongoing and to be expected – key changes within the context of distribution and logistics in pharma & healthcare (see SlideShare). What happens to distribution when diagnostics and new approaches to medicine (e.g. regenerative, personalised, etc.) is about to change healthcare profoundly? What happens when data becomes more valuable than stuff & some stuff becomes a mere recipe for local production, hence in essence data? What if distribution is no longer shipping boxes, but an inherent part of R&D, production, processing etc.? What if in the future we start to adapt living organisms to produce and distribute cures/vaccines etc.?These and other questions were addressed in an hour-long talk aimed at stretching the minds of the masterclass participants.
